With a camera, two pictures are taken from two different locations. The camera is moved horizontally to get the effect of the spacing between the left eye and the right. The camera is pointed at the object that you would like to have focused upon. If the 3D glasses have the right lens as being red, then the blue image should be the one on the right and visa versa. If you are good at the magic eye type posters, you can place the photos side by side and concentrate until you look at the right image with the right eye and left image with the left eye.
